In October 1982, Rank Xerox (Fuji Xerox Australia, today) initiated
a policy of appointing dealers in non-metropolitan areas throughout Australia
so that each area would be locally managed and could therefore respond to local
conditions far quicker than was possible when all decisions had to be approved
by the Sydney head office. The Xerox Shop concept was created for exclusive
dealers of Xerox equipment.
The Xerox Shop (now Xerox Business Services) commenced operations in Townsville
during March 1984 with four employees and has grown to where it now employs
more than approximately thirty full-time and some casual staff. Xerox Business Services
Townsville is a family owned business with a strong 360-degree focus on
accountability. |

Roy Currie (Dealer Principal) has over thirty years experience in
business with some of the largest corporations in the world. He holds
accountancy qualifications and has owned the Xerox Business Services since 1999. |
